I have had Saige for a while so this is not the complete state she came in, but it is how she is after a little wear and tear. If you look above that is Saige Copeland. She is the american girl doll girl of the year 2013. That means she will only be around for this year! Her hair came in the style above (A little neater but that is my attempt at the style.) This style is called a rope braid. It is a very pretty style for her.

When you take her hair down, it has little ringlet curls. They are very pretty but are hard to care for. You can brush her hair with the normal american girl wire hair brush but the ends can get frizzy and you have to recurl it (I will do a post soon about how you can recurl it.) I would recommend the american girl hair pick and watching the american girl videos they have on their website ( www.americangirl.com.)

These are the cute earrings that Saige came with. It's a special bonus because most american girl dolls you get don't have their ears pierced and you have to pay an extra 14 dollars to get it done. They are very adorable and are in the shape of Saige's special flower. You can get extra posts and dangles from american girl.

She has very pretty eyes. You can't really see them in here but they are some of the most beautiful eyes.
She also has those freckles that go across her face. They are very cute and look well with her nose! Her eyebrows also are very well detailed. They look like actual eyebrows. All american girl dolls have eyes that open when upwards and close when layed on their backs. Their applied eyelashes look wonderful when her eyes are open and closed but you really can't see the individual lashes, unlike a normal human.

Saige has vinyl limbs but a plush body. Her body is made with a very strong cloth. The body feels tightly stuffed when you first get it, but after a few months it softens out a little bit. She has 5 points of articulation in her arms, legs and head.
In the back you can see her head is attached to her body with a string. This makes it so if her hair falls out or if something gets on her head, instead of getting a brand new doll you can bring her to the American Girl doll hospital! The hospital is cheaper than having to get a new doll. At the hospital they can remove her head and put a new one on.

Saige came in her box with this dress. It is very nice and made of cotton. The only thing I don't like about this is the belt does not come off the dress.
The back looks like this. It has velcro that runs down the back. It looks nice on the doll. The only thing I don't like is that this dress is very small. It only goes down to the knees. It sends the wrong message to girls and when the doll sits her underwear peeks through.
This is her underwear. Unlike most doll companies, american girl put effort into their underwear! It is a very nice shade of blue. It doesn't really show in the picture though.
She has boots that have a very nice look to them and really show how her western side. But the buckle on them is just painted plastic. I wish that they would of done metal. American girl likes painted plastic but I feel that plastic with paint on it is not very durable.
The inside of the boots look like denim, which is kind of strange. They velcro in the back, so you don't have to fight her feet into them.
Overall Notes-
- Saige is a very nice looking doll
- She has a nice outfit but the dress is very short
- Unlike most doll companies, American Girl has nice underwear
- Her hair is pretty but it gets tangly easily and requires a lot of care
- I would recommend this for ages 10+ because of the hair
- I give this doll a 8/10 stars.
